When it comes to presenting your introduction, you are being judged on your speaking ability, poise, and appearance while on-stage. What you say is just as important as how you say it. Typically, introductions should include your name, hometown or state, hobbies, talents, and future aspirations. While some pageants put word limits on this competition, several do not. Generally, for younger divisions, introductions can run between 25 and 40 seconds. For older girls, introductions can run from 30 to 60 seconds. It is best to check with your state director if you think your introduction is too long.
